Lu Anne Simpson was born March 19, 1955 in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis Boers and Lois (Wunn) Boers.
She attended school in Pleasantville, graduating from the Pleasantville High School. Lu Anne also attended DMACC, receiving her degree in Criminal Justice. She was united in marriage to Steven Simpson on September 16, 1972 at the Christian Church in Pleasantville.
Over the years, Lu Anne worked at 10X, Checkerboard Restaurant, Watson, Swanson and Rubenstein Law Firm and for the State of Iowa Department of Public Safety.
Lu Anne passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 in Pleasantville at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 5 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joshua, two nieces, Taylor Talsma and Korver Hazelton.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; son, Brian (Laura) of Norfolk, VA; siblings: Letha Gasparovich (Zeke) of Pleasantville, Larry Boers (Teresa) of Winlock, WA and Lloyd Boers (Sandy), Lance Boers (Palmira) and Leah Boers (Dave De Moss) all of Pleasantville.
