Matthew Wayne Rowland was born December 13, 1963 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Finis and Sonya (Brooks) Rowland.
Matt attended trade schools and became an iron worker. He traveled the area extensively for his work.
Matt passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 46 years, 1 month and 10 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Matt is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Scott City, Kansas; daughter, Candice Rowland of West Des Moines, Iowa; granddaughter, Felicity Tolle; brother, Tim of Pella; sisters: Lisa (Paul) VandeHaar of Pella, Laura (Tom) Pierce of Des Moines, Mary (Jeff) Greenlee of Sac City, Ruth (Frank) Anderson of Arkansas City, Kansas and Jeannie Currier of Oskaloosa and many nieces and nephews.
