Obituary:
Doyle Lee Adams was born November 29, 1934 in Ringgold County, Iowa the son of Lewis and Hazel (Baker) Adams.
He graduated from Benton High School with the Class of 1953. In September of that year, Doyle began working for the telephone company as a lineman. During his employment with the phone company he graduated from DeVry Technical Institute. On June 17, 1955 Doyle was united in marriage to Renabell Elmore in Mount Ayr, Iowa. In 1974 Doyle was transferred to Knoxville. In 1983 Doyle and Renabell moved to Wentzville, Missouri where he later retired as a building engineer for the phone company. In 1990 the couple returned to Knoxville.
Doyle was a faithful member of the New Covenant Church. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on December 14, 1956, and that principle was the guiding light as he journeyed through life.
Doyle passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 19 days.
In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by his daughter, Kellie Gotta; granddaughter, Aaron Balmer and siblings, Genevieve Page, Lillian Skinner, Bernadine Hribal, Eugene Adams, Russell Adams, Raliegh Adams and Nola Sweitlik.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Renabell; daughters, Kathryne Balmer (Doug) of Kellogg , Karmen Winters (Mike) of Knoxville; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Adkisson of Mount Ayr; and a brother, Delbert Adams of Creston.
