Hazel Leona Wright was born September 4, 1921 in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Pitt and Elizabeth (Clark) Pitt.
On October 4, 1939 Hazel was united in marriage to Lloyd Dale Wright in Knoxville, Iowa, to this union four children were born; David, Phillip, Paul and Glenda. Hazel attended the Assembly of God Church for many years before her health stopped her from attending. She loved reading about the genealogy of her family.
Hazel passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Griffin Nursing Center at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 25 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Dale; brothers, Kenneth, Howard and Robert Pitt, sisters, Vera Sutherland, Hilda Klootwyk; and a granddaughter, Patty Parks.
Survivors include her children, David of Oskaloosa, Phillip and Paul of Knoxville, Glenda Poe of Green Valley, AZ; 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, many great grandchildren; siblings, Gene Pitt of Tucson, AZ, Helen Spaur of Knoxville.
