Frank Frush Jenkins, Jr. was born June 9, 1934 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Frank Frush Jenkins, Sr. and Lois (Overton) Jenkins. Frank graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1952. He bred cows for a few years before being called into active duty in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from the Korean war, Frank returned home to Knoxville. On September 21, 1958 he was united in marriage to Martha Mae Onstank. Frank farmed the rest of his life near Melcher-Dallas. In his spare time he enjoyed reading about the latest advances in farming and watching western movies. Frank passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 8 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha on January 22, 2014; brother, William and his sister, Mary Harris. Those left to cherish his life include his children: Julie (Jim) Jones of Lovilia and Jeff (Tammy) Jenkins of Knoxville; grandchildren, Colby and Colton Jones; siblings: John of Port Orange, Florida; Stephen of Knoxville, Frances Jones of Knoxville and Jeanne Smith of Knoxville and many other family members and friends.
