Shirley Imogene Shobe was born September 28, 1936 in Marysville, Iowa the daughter of Floyd and Blanche (Pettyjohn) Allen.
Shirley attended school in Marysville and graduated from Lovilia High School with the Class of 1954. On July 27, 1957 she was united in marriage to Oren Eugene Shobe. To this union two sons were born – Rodney and Robert. Shirley was a homemaker and had worked at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital, Marion County Home and Knoxville Residential Home.
She passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 77 years.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Floyd Allen; a daughter, Rhonda and a son, Robert.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Oren of Bussey; son, Rodney (Mary) Shobe of Knoxville; two grandsons, Noah and Nathenial; sisters: Roberta Risley, Norma Cox, Loretta Lee and Catherine Des Planque.
