Wiley Merle Pettyjohn

Wiley Merle Pettyjohn was born January 9, 1962 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Roy Merle and Mary Darlene (Roland) Pettyjohn. During his life he had numerous jobs, but the ones he loved involved entertaining and teaching children. Wiley joined the Carnival in his early adult years, and then he drove Taxi. He was known for playing the clown at children’s parties and leading Bible study for children. He was well liked and loved by all. Wiley passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, Milan, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cathy, one brother David Jerome Pettyjohn, and one nephew Christopher Wayne Pettyjohn. Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Darcy Pettyjohn, of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Ray Dean (Lois)Pettyjohn of Oskaloosa; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
