Cynthia Dianne Massick was born August 4, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of George Edward and Ruth Irene (Bennett) Kreimeyer.

Cindy graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1972. She was united in marriage to Terry Massick on December 1, 1973. Through the years, she had worked at the Marion County Courthouse, Jerry’s True Value, NeoData and had managed the Red Carpet Motel. In later years, Cindy and Terry traveled the United States, running a marketing truck for Bridgestone/Firestone.

Cindy was a loving mom and Nana who enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, canning, and baking. And those who knew her also know she enjoyed a good argument.

Cindy passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the West Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center at the age of 71 years.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Willoughby; sisters-in-law, Pam Kreimeyer and Diane Massick; brothers-in-law, Rob Willoughby and Danny Massick; and niece, Mystie Kreimeyer.

Those left to mourn Cindy’s passing include Terry Massick, her children: Theresa (Mike) Visser and T.J. (Jamie) Massick; step-children: Tammy Burk and Darcy (Mike) Swagart; 13 grandchildren: Elizabeth Kopitzke, Seth Burk, Dalton Burk, William Burk III, Alyssa Burk, Cole Rowland, Benjamen Rowland, Ethan Rowland, Kaleb Rowland, Clayton Visser, Kaylee Visser, Jonathan Swagart and Michael Swagart; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Larry Bennett, Gary (Sharon) Bennett, Sheila (Jerry) Best, Kelly Kreimeyer and Bryan Kreimeyer and many other family members and friends.
