Dylan James Adkins was born June 3, 2003 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dylan was raised in St. Louis until the age of 9 when his family moved to Knoxville, Iowa.
He graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 2022. He had worked at Wal-Mart
and was currently employed by Vermeer in Pella, a job he loved. Dylan was an intelligent
person especially when it came to mechanical things. He enjoyed working on cars and
construction projects. Dylan’s greatest joy was spending time with family, friends, his fiancé,
Camryn Stouffer, & his dogs, Luna and Luci.
Dylan passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Mercy Medical Center, in Des Moines,
at the age of 22 years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: John Bergeron, Lyle Kindley, and David
Adkins, and two uncles, Richard Adkins and Daniel Adkins.
Those left to cherish Dylan’s amazing life include his parents: Jennifer and Dusty Kindley
and Douglas Adkins; fiancé, Camryn Stouffer; siblings: Richard (Julie) Adkins, Kayla Adkins,
Corey Adkins, and Douglas Adkins, Jr.; step-siblings: Hamp (Nicole) Kindley, Jake (Ainsley)
Kindley, and Britny Kindley; grandmothers: Barbara Bergeron, Susie Kindley, and Rebecca
Adkins, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dylan’s family to be designated at a later date.
