Eunice was born December 27, 1935 in Marion County, IA, the daughter of Matthias Joseph and Blanche (Wachter) Wadle. She was a 1954 graduate of Knoxville High School in Knoxville, IA. She married Robert Lee DeLong October 10, 1964 in Des Moines, IA and he preceded her in death September 9, 1992. She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1978 coming from Ballwin, MO, Cedar Falls, IA, Ankeny, IA and Chicago, IL. Eunice retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Flint; she had also been employed by Kokesh Plumbing in Missouri, Travelers Insurance in Iowa and Meredith Corp in Iowa. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, where she was also involved in the CCW and the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She enjoyed recipe collecting, cooking, feeding the birds, picking seasonal fruits, maintaining her yard and garden and the holiday traditions with her family.

Eunice passed away, surrounded by her children, Monday, October 9, 2023. in Michigan.

Surviving are her children, Theresa DeLong of Livonia and Michael J. "MJ" (Tricia) DeLong of Williamston; grandchildren, Alexa "Lexi" DeLong of Mt. Pleasant and Trevor DeLong of Williamston; siblings, Ron (Carole) Wadle of Florida, Mel (Carol) Wadle of Missouri, Moe (Videlle) Wadle of Iowa, Eldon (Gloria) Wadle of Florida, Michelle (Stephen Sombar) Wadle of Texas and Barb (Jim) McGaughran of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merrill and John Wadle; and sisters, Mary Steinberg and Patricia Reeves.
