W. Jean Morris was born February 23, 1945 in Caraway, Arkansas the daughter of Elmer and Birdie (Jones) Kincaid.

As a girl, Jean was raised in Arkansas. On August 17, 1961 she was united in marriage to Richard Morris in Michigan. The couple lived most of their married life in Marion County, Iowa. Jean was a seamstress and had worked for 10X, Bob Allen and Snowden’s. Additionally, she helped manage the family business, Morris Tree Service. She was also a faithful Jehovah’s Witness.

In her spare time, Jean enjoyed flower gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially when she was spoiling the grandchildren.

Jean passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026 at her home, in Pleasantville, Iowa, at the age of 81 years.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sons: Richard in infancy and James Orville Morris, Sr. and grandchildren: Jeremy Morris, Amber Morris and James Orville Morris, Jr. and 9 siblings.

Those left to mourn Jean’s passing include her husband, Richard “Bill”; children: Jeanna Wilson and Bill (Jill) Morris; 5 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
