Judy Lee Vernon was born October 31, 1939 in Monroe County, Iowa the daughter of C.J. and Leona “Lucky” (Wright) Stocker.

Judy was raised in Albia and graduated from Albia High School. On January 16, 1959 Judy was united in marriage to Ronald Eugene Vernon. Judy and Ron lived in various locations due to Ron’s employment and Judy worked as a bookkeeper prior to retirement.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Judy passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at West Ridge Nursing & Rehab at the age of 86 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron and siblings: Evalee “Pudge” Amos and Richard “Dick” Stocker.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her children: Christine Lincoln, Ronni Schroeder, Russell Vernon and Tammy Beuthien; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Judy has been cremated and burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery in Hiteman, Iowa at a later date.
