Randall Eugene Garr was born October 16, 1975 in Pella, Iowa the son of Lawrence Ray and Jennie Lea (Davis) Garr.

Randy was raised in Pleasantville, Iowa and attended school there. As a young man, he worked for Iowa City Public Schools. He later worked for Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny and the Knoxville Farm & Home store. He was currently employed by Weiler in Knoxville.

In his spare time, Randy enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, golfing and watching sports. His favorite teams were Iowa and the Cleveland Browns. Dungeons & Dragons and playing video games were other favorite pastimes. Randy was definitely a people person and a social butterfly and he loved hanging out with his family and friends.

Randy passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at MercyOne Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Jennie Garr.

Those left to cherish Randy’s memory include his children: Kody Garr, Jaxon Garr and Henry Garr; siblings: Kimberly Garr, Kerina Haberling and Terri Finnegan and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
