Shirley LaVonne Morgan was born November 24, 1936 in Pella, Iowa the daughter of Theodore and Viola Mae (Ver Steeg) Van Veen.

She attended Pella High School and on April 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to Larry Eugene Morgan. Shirley worked in the shipping department at Pella Corporation until her retirement. She was also a longtime member of the Harvey United Methodist Church. In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed find-a-word, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Shirley passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at West Ridge Nursing & Rehab at the age of 89 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Viola Van Veen; brothers: Stan, Larry and Carl Van Veen and her husband, Larry.

Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory include her sons: Jim and Peggy Morgan and Gary Morgan all of Knoxville; grandsons: Gary and Chris Morgan; sister Melvina Breuklander and many other family members and friends.
