Thomas Irvin Lowe was born March 4, 1952 the son of Virgil Lowe and Norma Burk.
He was raised in the Pleasant Hill and Pleasantville areas. Following graduation, Tom attended school and became a heating & cooling technician. He worked for many years at Kohles & Bach Heating and Cooling until health problems forced him to retire. Tom has lived in Knoxville since 1986.
In his spare time, Tom enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking, welding and working on cars. He was also a country music fan and enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Tom’s greatest love was his family and he cherished the time they spent together and the memories they made.
Tom passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his home at the age of 64 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Lowe and Norma Burk; wife, Evie Drummondo and his son, Nicholas Lowe.
Those left to mourn Tom’s passing include his children: Amanda Lowe, Robby Lowe, Christopher Lowe, James Knight, Ryan Drummondo and Maritza Knight-Beery; grandchildren: Karissa Mattingly, Vanessa Litton, Milley Knight, Micha Knight and Mikrae Knight; former wife and best friend, Wanda Lowe and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service for Tom Lowe, age 64 of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Church of God. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at
